An Android phone can be a practical fleet-tracking device when the organization already equips vehicles or field staff with managed phones. The technical setup is only half the project; governance determines whether the system is trustworthy.
Decide whether the tracker follows a company vehicle, a shared device, a delivery handset or an employee's personal phone. Those scenarios have different privacy implications.
Tracking company equipment during working operations is not the same thing as continuously tracking an employee's private device after work.
Document why location is collected, when tracking is active, who can view live and historical positions, how long records are retained and how staff can report an error.
