Go outside; GPS does not work well inside buildings!
Getting the GPS to start may take a couple of minutes!
To create a track, drive, walk or cycle somewhere with the app active and have a friend watch the website while you're out. Or, ofcourse, view it yourself by the time you get back.
Make sure your phone has (internal) GPS.
If in doubt; Check your phone manufacturer's website.
